Integrated rail network protection in West Yorkshire
METRO have also commissioned Optimum to conduct a Feasibility Study and System Design to protect over 60 Railway Stations throughout the West Yorkshire rail network.
The Railway Stations involved in this project range in size from small rural stations to large Inner City Interchanges with over 20 million passenger users per year.
The aim is to provide pro-active monitoring to improve the safety and comfort for Staff, Passengers and Visitors and reduce their fear of crime and anti-social behaviour.

It includes the creation of a further Central Monitoring Station and Digital Transmission and recording. This is in addition to the existing Bus Station Monitoring Centre.
